Q: If we book a tour with you, do we have to start at a particular time?

A: No, we are flexible, and we try to arrange our tours according to our customers’ wishes.

Q: Is three hours enough to see Acadia National Park?

A: As national parks go, Acadia is small- only one-fiftieth the size of Yellowstone!  We can hit all the major highlights in three hours.  Obviously, if you want a more in-depth look, you can book one of our add-on segments.

Q: How do we pay for our tour?

A: At the time of booking, we take a credit card number to hold your reservation; it is fully refundable up to 48 hours prior to your tour.  At that point, you are responsible for the cost of the tour.  We will charge your card the evening before the tour.

Q: Can we stop for photos whenever we wish?

A: Absolutely!  Whenever you give the word, your guide will pull over and provide whatever time your need to take photos or simply to gaze at the spectacular views.  In addition, we have several overlooks where we routinely stop for photos and exploration.

Q: Why take a private tour rather than a bus/trolley tour?

A: Our services are designed for those who want a quieter and more personal experience-- touring alone or with a few friends—and the flexibility such an outing provides.  Of course, a tour is only as good as the guide and that’s where we excel.  Our Bar Harbor-based guides are friendly, humorous, personable and filled with knowledge about Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park.

Q: When does your tour season start and end?

A: We begin running tours in early May and go straight through to the end of October.

Q: I'm coming in on a cruise ship and would like to do a private tour rather than a shore excursion. Do you offer those?

A: We actually provide small-group shore excursions for most of the cruise lines coming into Bar Harbor; because of our partnership with the ships, we're not able to offer private tours off-ship.
